Door Carvings

Finished and installed, this carving features a bull moose in the foreground, a mother and calf in the river, a bald eagle overhead, and a few other small animals. This exterior door carving is in alder wood.

Looking up the unfinished panel, you may see the lily pads, fish, cattails, and frogs. The subtle depth of the carving is best viewed at this angle.

This set of doors features Lone Peak in Big Sky Montana, (as seen from the property). The carving includes, local trout, a vigilant mother bear, and her curious cubs. The doors are built in select alder wood, and painted with acrylics. These are interior doors protecting them from the elements.

This door carving is based on the Bernini stained glass window in the Vatican. An effort was made to highlight the appropriate areas of the carving with top down lighting. This exterior door is built of alder wood, and woodburned for effect.
