“Bears Everywhere” Each of the prints is 20″ by 24″ on artist quality canvas.
This Art piece is based on a six-day epic trip to Lake Clark National Park, Alaska. I was part of the support, and bear protection team for a group of photographers. We flew in on bush planes and set up camp on the beach. Over the six days, we saw some 200 brown bears, everywhere. Grazing in the grass, digging up clams, running, fighting, playing, rolling around, walking the beach, resting, and nursing cubs. It was unbelievable and humbling to witness this fully intact part of nature.
I was compelled to share my intense experience in an Art piece. The original piece was a wood-burning on basswood painted with acrylics. You will see the wood grain and the solid deliberate burned lines across the piece if you look close. If you visit this place, you ought to recognize most of this piece, and its location.
